WELCOME
Welcome everyone to our exciting new web site! Our goal is to provide you with the most information about the best valued, unfinished Pine and Poplar cabinetry line in the Northeast. We will continue to improve on our site utilizing the technical questions you ask. So, thank you for your comments.
As you see described in the spec pages, we are not your ordinary cabinet company. Our all solid wood construction is standard, using plywood only on backs and drawer bottoms.
We can make your most desired ideas and designs a reality, at an affordable price. If you live in New England or Eastern New York, chances are there is one of our loyal dealers ready to follow your thoughts home. From built-ins to stand alone units, from bookcases to broom closets, we can do it for you.

WHATS NEW (or about to be)
There have been several requests for an upgraded drawer option, from a different box construction to a different slide option. Rest assure the current drawer construction is and has been very reliable, the industry seems to have moved to favoring the “dovetail” construction. Factory studies and tests have begun and offering this is forthcoming. In conjunction with box assembly, an under mount slide is planned with the upgrade option.

WHATS GREEN
Young Furniture has always been a believer in using renewable resources and strides to buy from responsible suppliers. It is for these reasons we are seeking to “green certify” our product.
During the 1990’s in response to growing consumer demands for a higher standard of social and environmental responsibility, the Forest Products Industry began to develop management and training procedures designed to protect our Nation’s Forests, natural animal habitat and water supply. In the 21st century, these programs have matured into, certified chain of custody programs that track timber from it’s origin in responsibly managed forests through manufacturing cycles to the retail consumer.

NEWSLETTER EMPLOYEE DEDICATION
With each newsletter there will be a dedication to an outstanding member of our team. It is most fitting that this first newsletter be dedicated to AL Sanderson.

Al’s relentless efforts in designing this spec book and web site is greatly appreciated by all of us at Young Furniture and we are proud to be associated with him.
Joining YF in January of 2002, Al was no stranger to our cabinetry; for he was already a customer from the late 80’s and had designed our catalogs since the early 90’s. Al is a big part in the day to day office operations, preparing quotes, processing orders and producing shop drawings for production.
